Christmas Party!

Thanks to C. Aw and Gail for volunteering to organize our party. we await the three ph103 classes for their representatives.

Let us talk freely about what you may want to expect during the party.

Here are a few suggestions from me.

So that attendance to the party will not be a problem, we could make a rule that if at any point during the party 60% of current students enrolled this sem in my classes are present (take note that I need to count you guys myself!), we could make the denominator of your quiz average n-2 instead of the default n-1. If you guys can do 80% (that would set a record since that has not happened in the past), i'm willing to make it n-3.

Even my students in the past may attend.

The volunteers will plan stuff like venue, schedule, food, program. They will only plan. Everyone is expected to pitch in so as to execute the plans.

As I said in class, we need performers among us. Calling for musicians, dancers, singers, magicians, comedians, actors, etc to spice up the party. we'll find a way to provide a sound system and other needs you may have for your performance.

    Hi Sir,

    May I ask if you have a preferred date for the party? Also, we have a clubhouse at Palladium that can accommodate around 150-200 people for a certain rental fee. (Palladium is at Shaw Blvd.)

    Just in case you might want to consider that as a possible venue, I can make the necessary inquiries. :)

    (cool, the n-3 is a great idea! hahaha!)

    i'm open to that but holding it off campus has pros and cons.

    pros:
    we could be louder and more relaxed.
    if people want booze we can have booze.

    cons:
    attendance will be considerably lower.
    we have to pay a rental fee.

    i'm sure there are other considerations.
    people in the planning committee have a free hand. like i said, i'm open.

    Hey thanks for the links.

    Thank you Ram for those photos.

    Honestly, I've never seen videos (not that there are many) of any of our performances. Thanks for thinking us fit to get exposed on youtube. I wonder why Side B was not uploaded. That is by far the most profound song I ever wrote. har har.

    Will Gene Pool be worthy enough to provide you entertainment on your blue roast? I always wanted to play in that event.

    Thanks again to the organizers, emcees, performers and everyone else who helped bring that party together. Congratulations in getting the n-3! You were such good sports.

    Super interesting post to read! I love Christmas parties a lot and have planned an amazing Xmas bash at one of most popular LA venues. Going to have Mexican and Spanish cuisine there. Hope all like my arrangements.
