Your own take on the Philosophy of the Human Person

Perhaps you remember how at the beginning of Ph101 you learned that as a thinking adult, you may already have a rough, unconscious formulation of the philosophy of the human person. Now at the end of Ph102, it is time to consciously refine and express your formulation.

Thus, when you see our thesis sheet for the upcoming final exam you will find that the last thesis, thesis number ten will be left blank. You shall fill in that blank for yourself.

On A4 paper, place your name on the upper left-hand side. Use Times New Roman 14 or 16.
Give your thesis statement starting two spaces below your name. The statement is 3-5 sentences long and should contain the following three elements:

1. A phenomenological description of who the human person is.
2. A prescription of what the human person must do.
3. An existential declaration of what he must become / achieve / hope for.

Copy paste everything to the latter half of the paper so that two copies of the same text appear above and below the fold if the paper is folded crosswise in half. During your exam, one copy is for you and the other copy is for me.

Deadline for submitting your thesis statement is Friday, 11 April. This will be credited as a quiz.

Your graded thesis statements will be available the day before your final exam. Approach me at the exam venue (don't look for me at the department) while in-between examinees to get your copy.

Welcome to the final stretch, the final push. Let's give it our best shot, people!

Since Ate Alma's photocopying station is currently closed, I transferred the copies of the course readings and the optional readings to Ate Malou's station at the third floor of the New Rizal Library.

You may locate the copies there if needed.

Thank you.
